Nymphaea `Pink Sparkle` - Winterharte Seerose

A dwarf variety by Kirk Strawn from 1998. With this waterlily you get several varieties for the price of only one, because its flowers can be so different. The colour is always pink, but the colour becomes more intense towards the center and the colour of the whole plant becomes more intense when the plant matures and it is later in the saison. Even more differences may appear in the shape of the flower. It can be anything from a hardly opened cup to a fully opened star. During bloom season all these shapes may appear at the same time. Since it is a very floriferous variety, it really gives then the appearance of more than one variety of waterlilies planted together. Also the foliage is nice, dark green with a brownish pattern.
