This thyme got to be female, for it is capable of multi-tasking. It (she?) is as well a decorative plant, as a rocker plant, a ground cover, a spice, a medical plant and a bee plant. What I like best about it is its fragrance and its taste. If touched the foliage smells of lemons. In the rockery it can form large carpets that are covered with pink flowers in mid summer. Our bees love this flowers and we can tell from the taste of the honey. Lemon thyme wants to be used. The more you cut and harvest, the better the plant looks like.
