For a long time there were no selections or mutations of Juncus species available. The first of them appeared in the recent years, obviously a result of the growing interest in water gardening. `Gold Strike` is one of the new varieties. Its stems are bicolored green and yellowish, the variegation runing verticaly with the stems. The plant doesn't form runners, instead it forms a clump that grows from year to year.
