A variety of Reed that can be found allover the Old World with the exception of Europe. This is a somewhat strange distribution, for there is no real geographic boarder between Asia and Europe. Perhaps the botanists didn`t examine closely enough for there is hardly a difference between the common reed and the one in question. We offer a very nice cultivar of it with yellow-green variegated leaves. It survived the last few winters without protection in our nursery.
