A plant that is not suitable for liner ponds. We keep it mainly for plant filters and reed beds and those who absolutely must have one. Why that? First of all it is a very invasive plant (this makes it a perfect plant for reed beds, for it takes up unbelievable amounts of nutrients with its roots), and second it sends down very strong spearlike roots that easily pierce even the strongest liner. If you think you can`t live on without one, we emphatically suggest that you plant it into a pot from which it can`t escape. And please don`t say you had not been warned ...
