A very exotic plant for the pond. Its large lanceolate leaves are green and often appear to be frosted. In early summer it produces its strange clubs that are full of tiny flowers. Often winter protection is proposed, but in our nursery it survived even harsh winters without protection in shallow water. If you plant it deeper than about 20 cms it will produce floating leaves and most likely not bloom.
