A nice groundcover that runs riot in wet soil. This is the best way to fight it: prepare bread and butter, chop the watercress and it on the bread; or prepare a salad of watercress; or use it chopped and mixed with cottage cheese. As soon as you aquired a taste for it, the watercress will have a hard time to run riot in sufficient numbers for your kitchen needs. It contains a lot of vitamins and is depurative. It is possible to keep this plant in bowls and pots if well watered. If you want to use it for food it is better to grow it in wet soil than i shallow water.
