Scouring Rushes or Horsetails are plants of prehistoric times. For millions of years they didn`t change. This species from North America would have been considered a dwarf when the dinosaurs dominated the earth (at that time there were horsetails as big as trees), but today it is a giant among horsetails. Provided it gets enough warmth and food it will grow as high as a man. Careful siting is important, since the plants has a tendency to become invasive. Once in the pond you will not be able to remove it again.
