The Marsh Crane`s Bill once was a common plant along all rivers, creeks, lakes and in wet meadows. During the last few decades many wetlands were destroyed and so this once common plant lost most of its populations. Along with the plant a tiny butterfly did disappear, who is dependent on the plant as food source for its caterpillars. Good reason to give both a home in your garden?
