(Latour-Marliac 1929) We propose to plant this waterlily much deeper than generaly advised since it performs best in real deep water. It can be kept more shallow, but will produce a lot of leaves and few flowers there. In very deep water the leaves turn their rims up and resemble a little bit those of Victoria amazonica. The flowers are lemon yellow, the leaves are olive green. This plant is able to produce ofsets from faded flowers. Those young plants are first attached to the flower and later float away and set roots in shallow water.
