Alcea rosea `Double Apricot` - Hollyhock

This Hollyhock belongs to a `strain`, that is to say it is propagated by seed and the resulting plants look quite alike but there is always some slight variation. Its flowers are very double and their colour can be anything from yellow-apricot to yellow-orange. It was bred in the UK where it became fashionable soon after it was released. Due to its huge size (up to two meters) it is a variety for the back of the border or the use as a solitary.
