(J.B. Marliac 1901) This old variety by Marliac is more popular in the US than it is in Europe. Its name translates `Rainbow` since its leaves are multicoloured, while the flower is simply white. Exactly this might be the problem: in Europe the flower is all the world and nobody cares for the leaves. Strange, for the leaves are to been seen for a much longer time than the flowers. The leaves of `Arc-en-Cièl` are true beauties. They are olive green and bear markings in yellow, cream, pink and red. Some leaves are more than 50 % pink and there is no leaf like another. Suitable for medium to large ponds.
