Nymphaea `Perry`s Rich Rose` - Hardy Waterlily

This is one of the varieties for which Perry D. Slocum claims it was result of a cross of tropical and hardy waterlilies. It seems to have had no effect on the hardiness, and if you consider it is a variety that blooms far into autumn when all other varieties (except the yellow ones) have already stopped blooming, it might be true. The flowers are old-rose-coloured, the foliage is grass-green. Being an odorata-hybrid it needs space and time to establish.
