Nymphaea `Gladstoniana` - Hardy Waterliy

If you are in need of a really big waterlily choose this one. It was created in the USA in 1897 by Richardson and it is still widely used - although in most cases used at the wrong place. There is hardly a better waterlily for a large pond. There it will be a dream with its huge white flowers and the large foliage. In a small pond however it will be a true nightmare. It way too vigorous for small ponds and will hide its flowers under the overcrowding foliage. If there are anywhere nameless white waterlilies for sale at extremly low prices it is usualy `Gladstoniana`. We recommend this variety only if you got a really large pond and can offer about 10 square meters of it for this waterlily. Plant into a planter of about 90 liters so it can`t escape from there, and it will turn into the show stopper of your pond.
