Mentha haplocalyx [Brig.] - Japanese Mint

Probably you`ve met this mint in the pharmacy. Either in Japanese Pepermint Oil or in Tiger Balm. It is a mint that is very, very rich in menthol, and it wasn`t bred for culinary purposes. Of course you can use it if you like that strong pepermint taste, but it is mainly a medical plant.
