(Kirk Strawn 1993) Let`s start with what is undisputed: this waterlily has very nice leaves. Such colours and patterns are rarely to be found among hardy waterlilies. The flowers however are subject of a lot of disputes. They are very narrow and allways more or less crinkled. It was the intention of Kirk Strawn to have them like this and not everybody will like them. The crinkled effect is strongest in young plants and at the beginning of the saison (at that time some flowers are even covered with white spots), later the flowers become more even, but they still look like made of crêpe paper.
