Lavender-Cotton is a common garden plant in the western mediterreanean, but its origin is a mystery. So far no population was found in the wild. Some botanists therefore suppose that it is the result of a cross that happened once in some garden. It is a low plant with silvery grey foliage, that looks also very nice when it is not in bloom. From mid summer one it is covered with many yellow flowers. The whole plant got a very strong aromatic scent. Best suited for a rockery or as a lining of a flower bed. It can be matched with other dry-loving plants from the mediterranean. Hardy only if protected from winter wetness.
