Sadly Cupid`s Bow is somewhat out of fashion nowadays. That`s hard to understand for they are low-mainetance-plants with beautiful flowers in summer and autumn. It is a bit difficult to obtain one of the old hybrids. We were unlucky, too, for what we received under the name of `Ambroise Verschaffelt` didn`t look like the old descriptions of this hybrid. We kept it anyway for it is a very nice plant.
Cupid`s Bow hibernates as tiny tubers and has to be re-planted every spring. It is important to water them very little in the beginning and increase the water when they grow. The young plants grow very quick and from summer on they are in bloom. In late autumn they die back and from now on they do not tolerate any water at all (we keep them in a closet in the attic over winter).
